Ines is a WhatsApp-based concierge service for events, dining and nightlife in Abu Dhabi.

This website collects nothing
ines.city is a static website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no tracking pixels, uses no third-party fonts or scripts, and has no forms. Visiting this site does not create a record of you.
Everything below applies only once you message Ines on WhatsApp.

Ines is an AI assistant, not a person. This is disclosed in your first exchange with Ines, alongside your first answer, as required by Article 50 of the EU AI Act.
What we collect, and why

Preferences are only stored if you say yes. Ines asks once, after answering your first question, so you are not made to clear a consent form before getting any use out of it. Your number and the messages themselves are held from your first message under the contract basis in the table above, because they are what makes a reply possible at all. If you decline, the service still works, without personalisation. You are never denied the service for refusing.
Who else sees it
- Meta (WhatsApp) carries the messages. Their handling is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy, which we do not control.
- 360dialog GmbH (Germany) is our WhatsApp Business Solution Provider, routing messages between WhatsApp and our systems.
- Anthropic processes message content to generate Ines's replies.
- Supabase hosts our database, in the EU (Paris region).
These are processors acting on our instructions. We do not sell your data, and we do not pass your personal details to venues.
Where it is held
In the European Union. Our database is hosted in Paris (eu-west-3).
How long we keep it
- Conversation history: 90 days, then automatically deleted.
- Preferences and city: until you withdraw consent or ask for deletion.
- Deletion and consent records: retained as a compliance audit trail, as required by GDPR Article 30.
Deleting everything
Reply FORGET ME to Ines in the chat. Deletion is immediate and automatic: your user record, stored preferences, city and full conversation history are removed, and Ines confirms once it is done. All that is retained is a compliance record that a deletion took place, holding no personal detail.
You can also email hello@ines.city and ask. Free either way, no retention period and no confirmation loop. We aim to complete any manual request within 48 hours, well inside the 30 days the law allows.
Your other rights
Under UK and EU GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable format. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it. Email hello@ines.city and we will respond within one month.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local EU supervisory authority. We would rather you told us first.
Users in the UAE
Where the UAE Personal Data Protection Law applies, the same rights apply, and consent is requested in both English and Arabic.
Children
Ines is not intended for under-18s and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will update the date at the top when this changes. Material changes will be announced in the WhatsApp thread.
